Dear to Us, the debut album by violinist sisters Hina and Fiona, celebrates their rare musical bond and shared artistry. Individually accomplished—Hina winning the 2023 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition and Fiona debuting with the New York Philharmonic at 16—the sisters combine their talents with pianist Rohan De Silva to present a program blending classics and lesser-known works by Halvorsen, Moszkowski, Ysaÿe, Rózsa, and Anna Clyne. From the virtuosic energy of Ravel’s Tzigane and Sarasate’s Navarra to the tender lyricism of Ponce’s Estrellita, their synchronized, expressive playing offers a journey of technical brilliance, heartfelt expression, and intimate musical dialogue.

Hina & Fiona, violinist sisters from New York, have already achieved notable individual milestones and pursue distinguished solo careers. Hina, first-prize winner of the 2023 Elmar Oliveira International Violin Competition, has performed globally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently debuting at the Kennedy Center. She plays the 1722 Stradivari “Lord Wandsworth” violin and studies at Columbia University and Juilliard under Midori Goto and Itzhak Perlman. Fiona, recipient of the 2022 Arkady Fomin Scholarship and a Salon De Virtuosi career grant, debuted with the New York Philharmonic at 16 and studies with Ilya Kaler at the Cleveland Institute of Music, having previously studied with Itzhak Perlman. Both share a profound musical connection shaped by lifelong collaboration and complementary artistry.
