Leo Brouwer (born 1939) is a Cuban composer, conductor, and classical guitarist of international renown. His extensive output spans solo and chamber music, orchestral works, ballet, and scores for more than one hundred films, establishing him as a seminal figure in contemporary music. Brouwer’s compositional voice is particularly influential in the guitar repertoire, blending historical traditions with modern techniques.
