Tarmo Peltokoski (b. 21 April 2000) is a Finnish conductor, pianist, and composer recognized for his remarkable precocity and international acclaim. Inspired early by Wagner’s Ring, he trained at the Sibelius Academy under Jorma Panula and other leading mentors, and has been praised as “the Finnish wonder-conductor.” By age 23, he held appointments with multiple orchestras across Europe, including principal guest and music director positions. Peltokoski is an acclaimed interpreter of both operatic and symphonic repertoire, with a special affinity for Wagner and Mozart. He debuts as Music Director of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in 2026–27 and has an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon.
