Simona Šaturová, born in Bratislava and internationally acclaimed for her opera and oratorio performances, explores the evocative themes of evening and night in her CD Nocturno. The program captures a spectrum of moods—dream, longing, and silence—through works spanning from Mozart and Schubert to Schumann, late Romanticism, and early modernism. Framed by two songs of Richard Strauss, Die Nacht and Morgen, the recording balances introspection and hope. Instrumental reflections are offered through piano works by Frédéric Chopin and Robert Schumann, enhancing its nocturnal atmosphere.
Simona Šaturová trained at the Bratislava Conservatory and refined her artistry through masterclasses with leading pedagogues. She has built an extensive international career across opera and concert stages, performing with major orchestras and conductors and appearing at prestigious venues throughout Europe and beyond. Renowned for her interpretations of Mozart, she has taken on leading roles such as Donna Anna, Konstanze, and the Countess, alongside a broad operatic repertoire. A frequent guest at La Monnaie and other major houses, she is equally respected as an oratorio singer. Her acclaimed recordings and awards further highlight her artistic achievements and global recognition.
