Maria Korecka-Soszkowska (born 1943) is a distinguished Polish pianist with a long-standing international career that began in 1962. She studied under notable pedagogues including Henryk Sztompka and Dieter Weber, developing a reputation for refined interpretative depth and stylistic clarity. Over decades of performance, she has given thousands of concerts and recorded extensively for radio, television, and commercial release. This album presents her interpretations of two cornerstone works in the piano repertoire by Ludwig van Beethoven: the contemplative “Moonlight” Sonata (Op. 27 No. 2) and the expansive “Pastoral” Sonata (Op. 28 No. 15), showcasing contrasting dimensions of lyrical introspection and pastoral serenity.
