Despite being highly regarded as a pianist and pedagogue during his lifetime, Estonian composer Artur Lemba (1885–1963) has seen his music strangely neglected, even within his homeland. This historical oversight is surprising given the expansive, passionate lyricism of his compositions, which feature a full-blooded Romantic style that closely resonates with the music of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov. This second release in a pioneering recording series dedicated to rediscovering Lemba's neglected chamber music features three expansive, big-hearted works full of distinct personality, offering a compelling reassessment of his compositional legacy.

The M4GNET Quartet is a promising Estonian ensemble praised for its spirited performances, passionate interplay, and expansive repertoire that bridges classical masterpieces with forgotten historical works. Consisting of Robert Traksmann, Katariina Maria Kits-Reimal, Mart Kuusma, and Siluan Hirvoja, the musicians formalized their decade-long collaboration through the residency initiative of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, which later awarded them a prestigious scholarship. Trained by members of the world's leading quartets, the ensemble is part of the international Le Dimore del Quartetto network and performs regularly at major regional events, including the Pärnu and Tallinn Chamber Music Festivals.

Sten Lassmann is a prominent Estonian classical pianist, celebrated global soloist, and avid chamber musician who gained prominence after winning the 2002 Estonian Piano Competition. He has performed in prestigious worldwide venues, including London's Southbank Centre and Moscow's Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. A dedicated recording artist with thirteen albums, Lassmann specialized in Estonian national heritage, notably recording Heino Eller's complete 206 piano works. Holding a Ph.D. from London's Royal Academy of Music, his accolades include multiple Estonian Cultural Endowment prizes and the 2024 "Best Classical Album" award. Lassmann currently serves as a senior piano lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
