Celebrated New York-based composer Robert Honstein creates orchestral, chamber, vocal, and film music noted for its narrative depth, humor, and eclectic stylistic blending. His diverse portfolio includes high-profile commissions from leading global ensembles and multi-disciplinary collaborations spanning photography, dance, and film, including a News & Documentary Emmy-nominated score for The Real Charlie Chaplin. As a co-founder of the Sleeping Giant composer collective, Fast Forward Austin, and Times Two, Honstein is deeply committed to community-building. Currently serving as Program Director of Concert Composition at NYU Steinhardt, his critically acclaimed discography includes RE: You and An Economy of Means.
