Italian-born Stefano Canuti is globally recognized as an exceptionally charismatic and talented bassoonist of his generation. Over a distinguished 30-year career, he has served as principal bassoonist for prestigious ensembles, including the RAI National Symphony Orchestra and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, performing under iconic conductors like Claudio Abbado and Lorin Maazel. An avid soloist and chamber musician, Canuti has recorded numerous solo albums and performed across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Today, he is a highly sought-after pedagogue and international competition juror, holding professorships at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Conservatorio Lucio Campiani in Mantua.
