This project features three distinct violin recordings that bridge historical and contemporary performance practices. Bach's Partita is performed on a 1771 G. Klotz-Mittenwald violin using a baroque bow and historical tuning (A = 415 Hz). In contrast, Eugène Ysaÿe's Sonata utilizes a modern 2005 C. Roberts-Cremona violin with standard orchestral tuning (A = 440 Hz). Finally, Manolo Juárez's Sagittarius, originally composed in 1999 for classical violin and featuring a finale paying homage to Bach, is presented in a novel arrangement. Authorized by the composer's daughter, Mora Juárez, this new version introduces the composition's premiere recording on an electric violin.
