The album features works by seven culturally diverse composers from England, Northern Europe, Poland, and the Philippines, all reflecting on the multifaceted symbolism and power of light. Exploring cosmic, terrestrial, and spiritual illuminations, these creators seek to capture evocative moments and profound humanistic depth. To achieve this, the compositions utilize a mixed choir as the ideal medium, enhancing the vocal texture with unconventional instrumentation such as Tibetan bowls, bells, and water-tuned glasses. The collection is further distinguished by a beautiful violin solo arrangement of Vaughn Williams's masterpiece, "The Lark Ascending."

Established in 2006 by students at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, the Chamber Choir "441 Hz" is an award-winning ensemble dedicated to promoting contemporary music. The choir maintains an extensive international concert presence, having toured Italy and Germany alongside hosting artistic exchanges with Swedish and Czech ensembles. Their accolades include winning two gold medals at the 2016 "Slovakia Cantat" festival in Bratislava. The ensemble has released four acclaimed albums, showcasing their diverse modern repertoire ranging from academic graduation recordings to specialized folklore-inspired projects like their 2017 release, "Song of the North."
