The Zurich Opera House's specialized period-instrument ensemble, Orchestra La Scintilla, presents a new album of chamber music works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Conducted by former artistic director Riccardo Minasi, the recording features virtuoso performances of the Oboe Quartet in F major (K. 370), the Horn Quintet in E-flat major (K. 407), and the Clarinet Quintet in A major (K. 581). Each piece was originally written for Mozart's close friends and legendary historical virtuosos: Friedrich Ramm, Johann Leitgeb, and Anton Stadler. True to the ensemble's decades-long tradition of historically informed practice, the musicians deliver an exquisite, soulful, and highly recommended musical experience.

Founded in 1996 in Zürich, Switzerland, Orchestra La Scintilla is a premier independent period-instrument ensemble born from the Zürich Opera Orchestra's decades-long tradition of historically informed performance.
