To commemorate the 250th anniversary of Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (EKCU) and the 75th anniversary of its Music Institute, professors Bence Asztalos, Dávid Báll, and Péter Szabó released a landmark commemorative recording. The album presents two major piano trios: Maurice Ravel’s emblematic Trio in A minor, a masterwork of 20th-century chamber music, alongside Hungarian composer Emánuel Moór’s expressive Trio in C major, Op. 81. Performed by distinguished faculty members of the institute, this release stands as both a celebratory tribute to the university's historical milestones and a showcase of its enduring academic and musical legacy.

Formed during the COVID pandemic for the Budapest Festival Orchestra’s globally streamed Quarantine Soirées, the Asztalos-Szabó-Báll Piano Trio is a prominent ensemble on the Hungarian concert stage. In addition to frequent broadcasts on Hungarian Radio (MR3), the trio performs regularly in Hungary and Poland. Violinist Bence Asztalos serves as a professor and head of the Music Institute at Eszterházy Károly Catholic University. An active chamber musician and orchestral player, Asztalos has performed at premier venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Vienna Musikverein under renowned conductors including Iván Fischer, Paavo Järvi, and Sir Georg Solti.
