In her debut CD, Austrian soprano Miriam Kutrowatz collaborates with pianist and Lied accompanist Andreas Fröschl to present a curated 21-song collection exploring the rich vocal repertoire of Richard Strauss. The album pairs floral-themed pieces, including Mädchenblumen, Op. 22, with works that range from youthful, lighthearted selections like Rosenband, Amor, and Säusle, liebe Myrthe to intense, expressionistic compositions such as the Three Songs of Ophelia, Op. 67. Featuring additional classics like Allerseelen, Ständchen, and Nichts, this recording highlights Kutrowatz’s artistic depth alongside Fröschl's nuanced accompaniment.

Viennese soprano Miriam Kutrowatz, a former member of the Young Ensemble at Theater an der Wien and the Vienna State Opera Studio, has rapidly established a prominent international career. Trained at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, she is a award winner at the International Cesti Competition and a semi-finalist at the Glyndebourne Opera Cup. Kutrowatz has performed major roles across renowned stages—including the Salzburg Festival and Vienna State Opera—working under acclaimed conductors such as Christian Thielemann and Philippe Jordan. Equally active on the concert platform, her versatile repertoire spans Baroque masterpieces, Mozart, and Mahler, with notable appearances at the Vienna Musikverein, Elbphilharmonie, and the Styriarte Festival.
