Founded in 2023 at the University of Oklahoma under the direction of Dr. Myles Boothroyd, the Lighthouse Quartet, comprising Esther Hodson, Franklin Bian, Tyler Herzberger, and Dylan Sneed, is a saxophone ensemble recognized for its rhythmic, groove-based repertoire. The group has showcased its modern chamber sound across prominent competitive and regional stages, including the MTNA Chamber Music Competition, the Plowman Chamber Music Competition, the Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium, and the NASA Region 4 Conference. Dedicated to expanding chamber music's reach beyond academia, Lighthouse actively engages local communities with adventurous, diverse programming that challenges both performers and audiences.
