French organist Olivier Latry, born in 1962, studied under Gaston Litaize and was appointed titular organist at Notre-Dame in Paris at age 23. Globally recognized as a leading ambassador for the organ, he has performed with top international orchestras at prestigious venues including the Berlin Philharmonie and London's Royal Albert Hall. Celebrated as an improviser and champion of contemporary music, Latry has premiered works by composers like Esa-Pekka Salonen and Pascal Dusapin. His extensive discography includes Messiaen's complete organ works for Deutsche Grammophon and acclaimed releases for La Dolce Volta, complemented by decades of teaching at the Conservatoire de Paris.
