Regent Records has released the debut solo album of 19-year-old German organ virtuoso Jan Liebermann, recorded on the historic Father Willis organ at Salisbury Cathedral while he was completing secondary school. Celebrated for his charismatic presence, flawless technique, and mature artistry, Liebermann is widely recognized among the finest young organists of his generation. His dynamic European concert performances showcase remarkable energy, rich tonal color, and the rare practice of playing complex repertoire entirely from memory. This inaugural recording highlights his exceptional command with a diverse program of core works by Hollins, Dupré, Bach (arranged by Karg-Elert), Eben, and Duruflé.

Born in 2005, young German organist Jan Liebermann combines exceptional technical brilliance with profound interpretive maturity, playing complex repertoire entirely from memory. After studying under prominent mentors in Mainz, Frankfurt, and Munich, he achieved widespread recognition for memorized performances of Bach’s trio sonatas and Dupré’s preludes and fugues. Liebermann has earned numerous prestigious accolades, including the 2024 Northern Ireland International Organ Competition first prize and the 2025 Deutschlandfunk Encouragement Prize, and performed across Europe’s premier cathedrals and concert halls, notably debuting at the Berlin Philharmonie. His critically acclaimed 2026 debut album, Sonority, recorded at Salisbury Cathedral, underscores his growing international stature and vibrant social media presence.
