_____________________

The Paris-based Quatuor Tchalik is notable not least because its members are four siblings. Raised in a Russian-French family with Ukrainian roots, in which music played a central role, they have been making music together since their earliest childhood. This early and intimate contact with chamber music has allowed the four young musicians to develop their own, entirely natural approach to expressive and versatile quartet playing, creating an extraordinary artistic connection between them.

The quartet has played at prestigious festivals in France, including those of Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, Flâneries Musicales de Reims, the String Quartet Biennale of the Philharmonie de Paris and made its debut concert at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in November 2021. Internationally they have played in such halls as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Dresden and Cologne Philharmonies, the Mozarteum Salbourg, the Palazzetto Bru Zane in Venice.

As well as performing all over the world, the Quatuor Tchalik has set up its own independent label, Alkonost Classic, and is developing an intense recording activity.
