The album Sentimenti is a musical journey centered on the exploration of deep human emotions through vocal art. It bridges eras by reviving historical melodies in a modern light. The program begins with the delicate elegance of Intorno all’idol mio, followed by Franz Liszt’s Three Petrarca Sonnets, which transform Petrarch’s poetry into Romantic expressions of emotional conflict. Francesco Paolo Tosti’s Four Amaranta Songs convey unrequited love with lyrical simplicity and emotional depth. Ottorino Respighi’s Sopra un’aria antica evokes the past through the familiar tones of Cesti’s melody, while his Four Tuscan Rispetti celebrate Italian folk tradition. Sentimenti is both an emotional and intellectual experience, showing that music—and the feelings it expresses—transcends time.
