The French harpsichordist Céline Frisch has an extensive discography, including many award-winning recordings devoted to Bach. Now she presents the Partitas, the famous and abundant collection of six suites that Bach composed from 1726 onwards - at the rate of one new partita per year - which he published as his Opus 1: As Céline Frisch points out, “Bach explores the possibilities of each dance in order to extend its limits deploying an intense expressive palette that ranges from the most disarming tenderness through to the most poignant distress and unbridled joy”.

Céline Frisch, born in 1974 in Marseille, began playing the harpsichord at age six and later studied at the Schola Cantorum in Basel under Andreas Staier and Jesper Christensen. A winner of the Juventus Prize in 1996, she became the first harpsichordist selected for the "Victoires de la Musique Classique" in 2002. Frisch is a prominent soloist and co-founder of the Café Zimmermann ensemble, performing internationally. Renowned for her Bach interpretations, she also explores French, English, German Baroque, and contemporary music. Her recordings, including Goldberg Variations and Well-Tempered Clavier, have received top awards like Diapason d’or and Choc de Classica.
