Russian-Lithuanian pianist Lukas Geniušas (b. 1990) is acclaimed for his brilliance and depth, earning international recognition as one of the most compelling pianists of his generation. He performs at prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw, and the Moscow Conservatory, and appears at major festivals like La Roque-d’Anthéron and the Ruhr Piano Festival. Geniušas collaborates with leading orchestras including the NHK Symphony, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, and Toronto Symphony, under conductors like Gergiev, Pletnev, and Dutoit. A graduate of the Chopin Music College in Moscow, he won silver medals at both the 2015 Tchaikovsky and 2010 Chopin Competitions. Since 2015, he has supported the Toronto-based “Looking at the Stars” initiative, bringing live classical music to underserved communities.
Zlata Chochieva is a Russian-born pianist renowned for her deeply expressive interpretations of Chopin and Rachmaninov, which brought her early international acclaim. Praised for her technical mastery and musical insight, she has performed at major venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie de Paris, and Moscow Conservatory. She has appeared with prominent orchestras such as the Russian National Orchestra and BBC Scottish Symphony, under conductors like Mikhail Pletnev and Vladimir Spivakov. A laureate of numerous international competitions, Chochieva has also been featured at festivals including the Gilmore Keyboard Festival and Lucerne Festival. Based in Berlin, she studied under Mikhail Pletnev and Jacques Rouvier and currently serves as Director of the Rachmaninov Festival in Ivanovka.
