The new recording by Orchestre Appassionato offers a musical journey through the rich traditions of Czechoslovakia and Bohemia, blending folk influences with classical sophistication. Centered around Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”, the album reflects the composer’s homesickness and his ability to unite Bohemian roots with Western symphonic forms. Complementing this are works by Vítězslava Kaprálová, Oskar Nedbal, and Zdeněk Fibich, highlighting the region’s lyrical and romantic character. This vibrant collection captures the emotional depth and cultural heritage of Bohemian music, celebrating its timeless beauty and expressive power through refined orchestral interpretation.
