Austrian cellist Marilies Guschlbauer is celebrated for her warm, expressive tone and artistic versatility, performing both as a soloist and chamber musician. She earned degrees with distinction from the Mozarteum Salzburg and Berlin’s Hanns Eisler School, and will continue her studies in chamber music in Vienna. Guschlbauer has performed at major festivals including Lockenhaus, Verbier, and the Cello Biennale Amsterdam, collaborating with renowned artists such as Nicolas Altstaedt and Vilde Frang. She has appeared across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and debuted with orchestras including the North German Philharmonic. A multiple prizewinner, she is currently a Villa Musica scholarship holder.

German pianist Julia Rinderle captivates audiences with her compelling stage presence and deeply expressive playing. A prizewinner of numerous international competitions, she has performed across Europe, the USA, China, South Africa, and Israel, including venues like Vienna’s Musikverein and Munich’s Herkulessaal. She studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg and Hanover University of Music, receiving guidance from eminent pianists such as Emanuel Ax and Arie Vardi. Equally at home in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings, Rinderle also embraces contemporary and historical performance. Her discography includes world premiere recordings, and she currently teaches at the University of Music and Drama Leipzig.

Austrian cellist Marilies Guschlbauer and German pianist Julia Rinderle formed their permanent duo in Berlin in 2020 and have since performed widely across Europe and internationally. Known for their thoughtfully curated, self-moderated programs such as Im Volkston, Sehnsucht, and Les Grandes Dames, they have toured Germany and Austria extensively and appeared at prestigious venues like the Musikverein Wien and Vienna Konzerthaus. A highlight of their work is championing music by female composers, including a debut CD featuring works by Rita Strohl. Both are accomplished soloists and chamber musicians with global concert and festival appearances to their names.
