Light and Shadow is the sixth album by Orchestra of the Swan and artistic director David Le Page, following their acclaimed mix-tape series on Signum Classics. Formed in 1995, Orchestra of the Swan is a British chamber orchestra led by artistic director David Le Page. Renowned for its adventurous, genre-defying programming, the ensemble blends classical music with contemporary influences, making music accessible and inclusive. With over 45 annual concerts and more than 20 recordings, the Swan has premiered over 70 new works by a wide range of composers. Albums like Timelapse highlight creative pairings such as Rameau with Radiohead and Satie with Reich. Based in Stratford-upon-Avon, the orchestra is deeply rooted in community engagement through immersive residencies, education, and outreach across the Midlands.
