For his second Deutsche Grammophon release, Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii presents a program of works by Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky. Following his critically acclaimed DG debut in late 2024, Tsujii returns with a recording centered on Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, performed with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan. The album also includes Mikhail Pletnev’s piano arrangement from The Nutcracker, piano versions of three Rachmaninoff songs, and Rachmaninoff’s transcription of The Flight of the Bumblebee. The album was released digitally and on CD on 9 January 2026.

Nobuyuki Tsujii, known as Nobu, has performed with leading orchestras worldwide, including the Mariinsky, Philharmonia, BBC Philharmonic, NHK Symphony, and Münchner Philharmoniker, under renowned conductors such as Gergiev, Ashkenazy, and Spivakov. As a recitalist, he has appeared at top venues like Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, and the Musikverein. Highlights include tours with Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, debuts at London’s Southbank Centre, and performances at the White Nights and Rostropovich festivals. An exclusive Avex Classics artist, Nobu’s acclaimed recordings feature works by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt, showcasing his expressive artistry and global appeal.
