Armenian-German pianist Lilit Grigoryan is acclaimed for her passionate expressiveness and technical precision and has been an official Yamaha Artist since 2023. She partners with renowned bassoonist David Petersen, an internationally active soloist and chamber musician who has performed with leading ensembles including the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, and the German Symphony Orchestra. Together, Grigoryan and Petersen present an engaging programme of works by Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Moscheles, expertly arranged for bassoon and piano, combining lyrical depth with virtuosic refinement.

Lilit Grigoryan (born 1985) is an Armenian pianist internationally recognized for her artistic depth and refined musicianship. Trained in Yerevan and Germany, she graduated with highest distinction from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock and has received numerous prestigious awards, including Armenia’s Presidential Culture Prize. A former Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, she maintains a close artistic collaboration with Maria-João Pires. Grigoryan performs worldwide in leading concert halls and festivals, appears regularly as a soloist and chamber musician, and has released several critically acclaimed recordings. She currently resides in Berlin and is an official Yamaha Artist.

David Petersen (born 1968) is a German bassoonist and principal bassoonist of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, a position he has held since 1992. Trained in Dresden, Berlin, and Hanover, he studied with leading bassoon pedagogues including Bernhard Rose and Klaus Thunemann. Petersen is a founding member of the Gewandhaus Octet and has performed widely as a soloist and chamber musician at international festivals and with major orchestras. He is also an experienced educator, teaching at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre, and is active internationally as a masterclass instructor and recording artist.
