Winner of the 2024 La Maestra Competition in Paris, Bar Avni is an emerging Israeli conductor recognized for her imaginative programming and dynamic leadership. Originally trained as a percussionist, she has worked with mentors including Barbara Hannigan and assisted conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel. Her debut recording with the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine presents an inventive program uniting symphonic works by Charlotte Sohy, Darius Milhaud, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, and Igor Stravinsky.
