Tabea Zimmermann is an internationally renowned German violist celebrated for her versatility as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator. A prodigious talent, she debuted at the Berlin Philharmonie at age eleven and became Germany’s youngest professor at 21, later teaching at leading institutions including the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and Kronberg Academy. Deeply committed to contemporary music, she has inspired and premiered works by major composers such as György Ligeti and Wolfgang Rihm. Alongside an active global performing career, she engages in innovative “play & lead” projects, fosters artistic collaborations, and contributes significantly to cultural leadership and music education.
