Raquel Samayoa is an accomplished trumpet performer, educator, and clinician with a dynamic international career. She serves as Associate Professor of Trumpet and co-director of the UNT Brass Band at the University of North Texas, and is principal trumpet of the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. A dedicated chamber musician, she is a founding member of Lantana Trio and performs with the award-winning Seraph Brass. Actively engaged in promoting diversity in the arts, she frequently presents masterclasses and lectures worldwide. Dr. Samayoa is also a published author and recording artist, with multiple albums and educational works to her credit, reflecting her commitment to performance and pedagogy.
Michael Schneider is a versatile pianist, collaborator, educator, and composer with an active international career. Trained at the University of North Texas, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and the University of Texas at Austin, he has held academic positions at several institutions in Texas and Ohio. Praised for his expressive and insightful performances, he has appeared at prestigious venues such as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and the Library of Congress, and at major festivals in the United States and Europe. An advocate for Franz Liszt’s music, he is also known for his innovative monodrama projects. Schneider is a dedicated collaborator and the founder of the San Angelo Piano Festival.
