Cecilia Damström (b. 1988) is an internationally recognized composer whose works explore human consciousness, emotion, and social themes, blending classical training with theatrical sensibility and multicultural influences. She has received numerous awards, including the Teosto Prize, Helsinki City Artist of the Year, and nominations for the Nordic Council Music Prize, and her music has been performed by leading orchestras and festivals worldwide, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. Damström’s oeuvre spans orchestral, chamber, choral, and operatic works, including the first full-length opera in Northern Sami, and her compositions have been widely acclaimed for their expressive power, dramatic flair, and environmental and social engagement.

Reetamaria Rajala, a graduate of the Malmö Academy of Music under Hans Pålsson, specializes in minimalist and contemporary piano repertoire. Her debut album SILENCE (2022) has been widely praised for its captivating simplicity and expressive clarity, highlighting works by Nordic composers including Cecilia Damström. Rajala has collaborated with prominent artists such as Evelyn Glennie and Minna Weurlander and performs extensively across the Nordic countries and the UK, engaging in interdisciplinary projects and contemporary music initiatives. Her artistry has been recognized with awards including the 2018 Music Prize of the Lund University Science Society.
