London Music Works and cellist Nick Squires present Music from The Last of Us on Silva Screen Records, celebrating the evocative compositions of Gustavo Santaolalla. Featuring music from The Last of Us Part I and Part II, as well as the first two seasons of The Last of Us, the album highlights Santaolalla’s signature ronroco-driven sound. It also includes On the Nature of Daylight by Max Richter and a reimagined version of Take on Me by a-ha. Together, these pieces capture the series’ emotional depth through intimate, expressive arrangements.

Gustavo Santaolalla (b. 1951) is an acclaimed Argentine composer, producer, and musician known for his minimalist style and major influence on Latin rock. Beginning his career with Arco Iris, he later became a key figure in the rock en español movement and founded Surco Records. His film scoring career brought international recognition, earning consecutive Academy Awards for Brokeback Mountain and Babel. He also composed for The Last of Us. Known for his use of the ronroco and intuitive composing process, Santaolalla has received numerous honors, including multiple Grammys and recognition as a BMI Icon.
