_____________________

Vsevolod Zavidov, born in Moscow in 2005, is widely regarded as one of the most promising young pianists of the Russian tradition. A student of Nelson Goerner, he gained international recognition by winning the Radu Lupu Prize in 2024 and the UBS Young Soloists Prize in 2025. His debut recording focuses on Sergei Rachmaninoff, featuring works such as the Études-Tableaux Op. 33, Variations on a Theme of Corelli, and transcriptions of Bach violin pieces. Zavidov describes Rachmaninoff’s music as a complex, myth-like narrative, and concludes the program with his own transcription of the iconic Vocalise, showcasing both interpretative depth and creative vision.
