Rising by the American ensemble Lyyra is a genre-defying a cappella album that highlights the expressive range of an all-women vocal group. Featuring music spanning from medieval repertoire to contemporary works, the album explores enduring themes such as joy, hope, resilience, and unity. Unconstrained by a single style, the program reflects on questions of love and identity, offering a perspective shaped by the experiences of young American women, including the challenges they encounter, the connections they build, and the shared strength they derive from collective purpose.

Lyyra is a U.S.-based all-women vocal ensemble founded by The VOCES8 Foundation, dedicated to redefining upper-voice choral music through diverse repertoire spanning classical, jazz, pop, and folk traditions. Known for their rich yet brilliant sound, the group combines artistic excellence with a strong educational mission, reaching thousands through outreach programs. They debuted in 2024 with U.S. performances and an EP, followed by international touring in 2025 across Europe and the United States. In 2025, they signed with Warner Classics & Erato, releasing their first single, “The Hymn of Acxiom,” and continue to build a global presence while promoting music education and collaboration.
