Ennio Morricone: Movie Themes presents fifteen iconic film compositions by Ennio Morricone, reimagined for solo guitar in an intimate One Microphone Recording format. The album features arrangements by Italian guitarist, composer, and longtime Morricone collaborator Mauro Di Domenico, whose interpretations highlight the emotional depth and cinematic lyricism of Morricone’s music through a refined and expressive acoustic approach. Expanding the collection further, the release also includes three additional arrangements by guitarist Agustín Maruri. Together, the performances offer a nuanced tribute to Morricone’s enduring legacy in film music, emphasizing both the intimacy and timelessness of his celebrated themes.

Agustín Maruri is a Spanish guitarist known for his contributions as a performer and researcher of historical guitar repertoire. Born in Madrid, he has received recognition for his scholarly work, including studies in major European libraries, and was awarded by the Yuste European Academy in 1996.
