Leo Samama (b. 1951) is a distinguished Dutch composer, musicologist, educator, and arts administrator whose career has significantly shaped contemporary music culture in the Netherlands and Europe. Educated in musicology, composition, and conducting at Utrecht University, he taught at several leading conservatories and universities while also contributing as a music critic for major Dutch publications. Samama held prominent artistic leadership roles with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Residentie Orkest, and the Netherlands Chamber Choir. A co-founder of both the Netherlands String Quartet Academy and TENSO, he is also widely respected for his influential books on music and for a catalogue of more than 100 internationally performed compositions.

Sofa Vasheruk is a Russian-born pianist recognized for her refined artistry and international achievements in both solo and chamber music performance. Born in Moscow in 1988, she studied at the Gnessin State Academy of Music, the Chopin Music College in Moscow, and later earned her master’s degree cum laude from the ArtEZ Academy in the Netherlands. She also pursued studies at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Italy. During her training, Vasheruk received major competition honours, including prizes at the Sigismund Thalberg International Piano Competition and the Young Pianist Foundation competition in Amsterdam, as well as the Grand Prix at the André Dumortier International Piano Competition in Belgium. Her repertoire spans major piano concertos, chamber music, art songs, and solo piano works.
