Michel Deneuve, born in 1955 in Meaux, is a French composer and performer specializing in the Cristal Baschet, to which he has devoted his career since 1975. He developed an advanced playing technique inspired by piano and violin methods, significantly expanding the instrument’s expressive and technical possibilities. Through collaborations with musicians, ensembles such as the HOPE ensemble of Limoges, and his own ISUA ensemble, he has broadened its repertoire. Deneuve also composes for various artistic fields, with works reflecting diverse musical influences, including his symphonie concertante Unis vers Univers (2000).
