On its fifth album, New Frequency presents eight original works for solo piano under the artistic direction of João Marcondes. Formed by composers João Paulice, Leonardo Augusto Silva, Lucas Rodrigues, Pedro Saikali, and Cristhian Squetini, the collective crafts immersive soundscapes that balance melodic sensitivity with a thoughtful use of silence, transforming the piano into a medium for deep and attentive listening. Performed with precision and lyricism by Ariã Yamanaka, OPUS 5 highlights the richness, agility, and expressive depth of the composers’ contemporary writing.

Ariã Yamanaka began studying piano at the age of four in Japan, demonstrating an early dedication to music. Throughout her training, she has studied under distinguished musicians and educators, including Professor Dr. Luciana Sayure and Professor Marisa Lacorte. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in piano performance at the University of São Paulo, where she is mentored by Professor Dr. Eduardo Monteiro. Her academic and artistic development reflects a strong foundation in both technical excellence and interpretive depth, establishing her as a promising presence in the contemporary classical music scene.
