Born 1970 in Auxerre, French flutist Juliette Hurel is the Principal Flute of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and a professor at the Rotterdam Conservatoire (Codarts). A graduate of the Paris Conservatoire and a nominee at the Victoires de la Musique Classique, she is recognized as a leading global flutist. Hurel performs extensively as a soloist with major international orchestras and in prestigious venues like the Concertgebouw and Wigmore Hall. She is passionately committed to contemporary music—premiering works by Pascal Dusapin and Bruno Mantovani—as well as interdisciplinary projects. Her acclaimed discography spans from Bach to neglected women composers, performed on an 18-carat gold Pearl flute.
Born in Lyon in 1964, French classical harpist Isabelle Moretti is an internationally acclaimed concert artist, educator, and environmental advocate. She frequently performs at major global venues and festivals, collaborating with notable musicians like flutist Juliette Hurel and conductor François Leleux. Her extensively praised discography has earned prestigious awards, including a Victoire de la Musique and the Prix Charles Cros. A dedicated educator, Moretti serves as a professor at the Paris Conservatoire and conducts international masterclasses. Honored as an Officer of the French National Order of Merit and the Order of Arts and Letters, she received the Grand Prix Tissier-Grandpierre in 2024.
