Karin Fernandes’s album SHE, INVISIBLE VOL. 1 launches a series dedicated to German women composers of the 18th and 19th centuries through rare and previously unreleased recordings. The program features works by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Emilie Zumsteeg, Helene Liebmann, and Josephine Lang, including several world premiere recordings. Blending lyrical miniatures, nocturnes, dances, and a large-scale sonata, the album highlights the stylistic richness and expressive depth of composers long overlooked in mainstream piano repertoire. Through thoughtful interpretation and musicological research, Fernandes revives a neglected musical legacy, emphasizing its enduring artistic and historical significance for contemporary audiences.

Karin Fernandes is a Brazilian pianist from São Paulo recognized for her distinguished international career as both soloist and recitalist. She pursued advanced studies in Portugal, France, and England with renowned musicians including Maria João Pires and Menahem Pressler, while continuing her musical development in Brazil under Lina Pires de Campos. Fernandes has performed with major orchestras across South America and Europe, including the Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra and OSESP, and has toured extensively in Europe and South America. A winner of 21 piano competitions, she has also received major recording honors, including the Concerto Award for Best CD of the Year and recognition at the Brazilian Music Awards for her contributions to Brazilian classical music and chamber repertoire.
