Yu-Peng Chen (also known as Chen Zhiyi) is a Chinese composer, pianist, and producer internationally recognised for his richly melodic and stylistically versatile scores for film and video games. A graduate of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, he is especially known for his acclaimed work on Genshin Impact with HOYO-MiX, which has brought him global popularity and extensive streaming success. His music blends Western orchestral traditions with diverse Asian musical influences, creating expansive and emotionally detailed soundscapes. Chen has collaborated with major orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and has released orchestral works such as FANTASYLAND, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. His career spans award-winning film and game music, and he is now focused on large-scale orchestral composition as an independent artist.
