Annelies Van Parys (born 1975) is an acclaimed Belgian composer and a professor of composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels. Renowned for her orchestral, chamber, and vocal works, she specializes in opera and musical theater, serving as composer-in-residence at Muziektheater Transparant. Her distinctive artistry has garnered prestigious commissions from world-class institutions, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Recognized globally, her compositions are regularly performed across major European venues, including the Royal Opera House. Her significant contributions to contemporary music have earned her numerous accolades, notably the Fedora–Rolf Liebermann Prize for Opera.
