Quinteto Astor Piazzolla is an internationally acclaimed chamber ensemble dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting the legacy of Astor Piazzolla, the creator of Tango Nuevo. For more than twenty-five years, the Quintet has toured extensively across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia, earning critical acclaim and multiple distinctions, including Latin Grammy Awards for Best Tango Album in 2019 and 2023. The ensemble consists of five virtuoso musicians—bandoneon, piano, violin, guitar, and double bass—under the direction of Julián Vat.
