Elena Kole is a pianist, composer, educator, and music writer whose artistic career is rooted in a family with deep cultural and musical traditions. Her grandfather, Nikolai Mikhailovich Sheglov, served at the Rachmaninov family’s Znamenka estate and participated in musical events organized by Alexander Siloti, a cousin of Sergei Rachmaninoff. Recognized for her absolute pitch at age six, Elena began piano studies early, started improvising at ten, and gave her first public concert at twelve. A graduate of the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, she later worked there for twelve years. Since relocating to Spain in 2002, she has served as a professor at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona. Elena has performed extensively in renowned venues, including the Small Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia, Concertgebouw, and Gran Teatre del Liceu. A member of the Association of Catalan Composers, she also contributes to Spanish music publications and has collaborated with Prima Classic since 2021, releasing multiple albums that have accumulated more than 33 million streams worldwide.
