Established in 2014, MoVE is an internationally acclaimed violin ensemble consisting of four celebrated violinists, soloists, and pedagogues: Lina Bahn, Livia Sohn, Carolyn Stuart, and Janet Sung. The quartet is dedicated to modernizing violin ensemble models by commissioning diverse, socially conscious new repertoire from both established and emerging composers. MoVE has premiered innovative, multimedia works at prominent national venues and universities across the United States. In 2026, the ensemble released its debut double album, MoVE Premieres, featuring twelve commissioned world premieres recorded at prestigious studios, including Skywalker Sound. Beyond performance, the members remain deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of musicians and promoting inclusivity within the arts.
