Andrea Bocelli (born 1958) is a world-renowned Italian classical tenor and crossover pop artist who achieved international stardom after winning the newcomers' section of the 1994 Sanremo Music Festival. Despite losing his sight completely at age twelve due to a sports accident, Bocelli pursued a profound passion for music, eventually selling over 90 million records worldwide across 15 solo studio albums and nine complete operas. Celebrated for bringing classical music to the top of international pop charts, his notable achievements include the historic chart-topping duet "Time to Say Goodbye" with Sarah Brightman and the award-winning song "The Prayer" with Celine Dion.
