Sincretismo is an innovative musical project that merges contemporary composition with Venezuelan traditions, successfully restoring a popular voice to the oboe. Curated by Natalia Auli, the initiative introduces a completely new repertoire written specifically for this endeavor, blending diverse dances and rhythms that reflect Venezuela's rich cultural fusion. Within this framework, the oboe serves as a vibrant bridge, seamlessly connecting traditional heritage with modern musical expression. Ultimately, the project redefines the instrument's classical boundaries while celebrating cultural identity through a fresh, collaborative sonic landscape.

Born in Caracas and trained through Venezuela’s "El Sistema," oboist Natalia Auli (b. 1995) is a highly decorated international laureate. Her accolades include major accolades at the 2021 Concours de Genève, First Prize at the 2023 Vienna International Music Competition, and awards in Italy and Japan. As a soloist and principal oboist, Auli has performed globally with premier ensembles like the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Currently a member of the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Bordeaux, she frequently balances international concert tours and festival appearances with leading masterclasses at prestigious South American universities.
