In their third carefully crafted album, Fabrice Perez and Marc Pantillon complete their World War II-focused trilogy by exploring Germanic repertoire shaped by totalitarianism and exile. Following two acclaimed recordings dedicated to Central European and French composers, this release examines the realities of creating music under the Nazi regime and in diaspora across the USA, Switzerland, the USSR, and Palestine. The program highlights works targeted by the 1938 Düsseldorf "Degenerate Music" exhibition, bridging Paul Hindemith’s modernist compositions with early jazz influences from Weimar-era Berlin and Paris to deliver a compelling historical and artistic narrative.

Fabrice Ferez is a versatile French oboist, educator, arranger, conductor, and composer who serves as principal oboe of the Victor Hugo Franche-Comté Orchestra and co-director of the TETRAKTYS Ensemble. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon and mentored by legendary musicians like Maurice Bourgue and Sandor Vegh, Ferez has performed with major European orchestras and established an expansive chamber music discography. Equally dedicated to contemporary music, historical research, and education, he regularly premieres works written for him, conducts various ensembles, composes for diverse settings, and leads international masterclasses as an official artist for Buffet Crampon instruments.

Born into a prominent Swiss musical family, pianist Marc Pantillon received early training from his parents before refining his technique in Vienna with Hans Petermandl and legendary pianist Paul Badura-Skoda. Winning the prestigious Soloist Prize of the Swiss Musicians Association in 1987 launched an active career as an international soloist, recitalist, and sought-after chamber musician. Also a dedicated educator, Pantillon taught at the music conservatories of Neuchâtel, Geneva, and Lausanne. His extensive discography spans revered masterworks by Beethoven and Brahms alongside rediscoveries of lesser-known composers like Stephen Heller and Mel Bonis. Outside music, he resides in Môtiers, drawing creative inspiration from nature.
