Recorded live in 2025, the album showcases Tsuji’s impeccable technique and interpretive depth following her top-prize victory at the Montreal International Musical Competition. Supported by Pascal Rophé and the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra in Brahms’s monumental D major concerto, alongside Kensho Watanabe and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in Glazunov’s lyrical A minor concerto, this release seamlessly pairs symphonic grandeur with radiant soloist brilliance, creating an indispensable document of a phenomenal young artist.

Born in Gifu in 1997, violinist Ayana Tsuji emerged as a premier musical talent after winning First Prize and five special awards at the 2016 Montreal International Music Competition. Beginning her studies at age three via the Suzuki Method, she made her orchestra debut at eleven and has since performed with prestigious Japanese and international ensembles, including the NHK Symphony and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. An avid chamber musician, Tsuji has collaborated with icons like Martha Argerich and received honors such as the Idemitsu and Hotel Okura Music Awards. She currently plays a 1748 Guadagnini violin on loan from Yellow Angel.
