Federico Maria Sardelli (born 1963, Livorno) is a highly versatile artist renowned as a conductor, flautist, composer, musicologist, and author. A leading figure in the revival of Baroque music, he founded the early music ensemble Modo Antiquo and has appeared at major international festivals and venues. Deeply associated with the Vivaldi renaissance, Sardelli has led numerous world premieres and recordings of rediscovered works, collaborating with leading orchestras and opera houses worldwide. He records for major labels, has received multiple Grammy nominations, and is editor of the Vivaldi Werkverzeichnis. He also maintains an active scholarly and compositional career.
