Austrian pianist Aaron Pilsan has fulfilled two of his career aspirations by recording the complete sets of J. S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier and Frédéric Chopin's Études for Alpha Classics. His release features Chopin's complete Études, comprising Op. 10, Op. 25, and the three posthumous works, a project informed by his previous experience with Bach, which Pilsan credits for sharpening his awareness of Chopin's intricate polyphony and structural depth. He highlights the distinct characteristics of the two main cycles, contrasting the direct, explosive passion of Op. 10 with the introspective refinement of Op. 25, while emphasizing their dual role as pedagogical tools and emotionally expressive masterpieces.

Aaron Pilsan (born 1995) is an internationally acclaimed Austrian pianist who studied under Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Lars Vogt. Named a European Concert Hall Organization "Rising Star" and Fono Forum’s "Best Young Artist of the Year," he regularly performs at major global venues and top festivals, including the Concertgebouw and Schubertiade. An accomplished chamber musician who collaborates with artists like cellist Kian Soltani, Pilsan champions both classical-romantic repertoire and contemporary works by composers like Jörg Widmann and Reza Vali. His praised discography includes recordings for Naïve, Deutsche Grammophon, and Alpha Classics.
