David Sanger (1947–2010) was an internationally acclaimed British concert organist, professor, and president of the Royal College of Organists. Beyond his extensive international touring career as a recitalist and various academic roles, Sanger was a composer who created pieces for organ, strings, and choral ensembles. Highlighting his early virtuosity, a new album featuring his organ performances of Bach and Franck has been released as part of Deutsche Grammophon's Debut series, which showcases foundational recordings from artists who ultimately established distinguished, influential careers in music.
